How the platform works
Users search and review accommodation on StayCompare, then continue to the clearly identified provider website to complete booking and payment. StayCompare is not the merchant of record and does not issue hotel vouchers.
Integration principles
- Approved APIs and affiliate tools only — no OTA scraping
- No fabricated live prices, availability, reviews or partnership claims
- Final payable price and booking conditions handled as structured data
- Server-side outbound click tracking with provider and sub-ID attribution
- Provider credentials remain server-side
- Sponsored placement is visibly disclosed and separated from price ranking
Technical readiness
- ProviderAdapter abstraction for search, hotel details, availability, rates and affiliate URLs
- Canonical hotel model with external provider-property mappings
- Safe outbound redirect and HTTPS host allowlisting
- Trip.com Hotel Availability API adapter prepared for approved credentials
- Analytics events for offer views, affiliate clicks and provider failures
Current launch status
The public platform uses explicitly marked sample discovery data. Live OTA rates will only be enabled after provider approval and successful sandbox/production validation.
